There is nothing more disturbing than an innocent child being harmed by another person. Child abuse claims address situations in which cruelty is intentionally inflicted upon a child. This cruelty can happen once or repeatedly and can take many forms, including physical harm, mental or emotional abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, and exploitation. Those inflicting this cruelty are typically trusted by the child and can include family members, caregivers, friends, teachers, strangers, and other children. Child abuse claims seek to protect, compensate, and support the abused child, as well as bring to justice those inflicting the cruelty.
